David Mendoza - President & CEO

David Mendoza has proudly served as the President and CEO of Austin’s Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. since 2014. With a career in the HVAC industry that began in 2001, David brings over two decades of hands-on experience, leadership, and deep-rooted passion for the trade.

A graduate of UTI in Phoenix, David moved to California in 2002, where he began working under industry veteran and company founder, Rick Austin. After gaining experience with Rick and later honing his skills at Blake’s in Davis, David explored the world of commercial HVAC in Sacramento. But it was in 2013 that he found his way back to Austin’s, working closely with Rick to learn the full scope of running an HVAC business.

In 2014, David officially took the reins and hasn't looked back since. Under his leadership, the company has seen remarkable growth, tripling its workforce and expanding operations into a thriving multi-million-dollar business. But for David, it’s never been just about business.

He’s poured his heart and soul into building a company rooted in integrity, quality, and community. A proud resident of Vacaville, David is deeply committed to giving back, supporting local non-profits, the police foundation, and youth sports teams as a way to give back to the community that welcomed him with open arms.

David’s journey from HVAC tech to CEO is a testament to hard work, mentorship, and dedication. His vision continues to drive Austin’s Heating & Air Conditioning forward while staying true to the values that shaped it from the beginning.

Omar castillo - general manager

Omar Castillo serves as the General Manager of Austin’s Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc., and has been in the trade for over 20 years. A 2001 graduate of UTI Phoenix, Omar brings unmatched industry knowledge, leadership, and a relentless commitment to customer satisfaction to everything he does.

Omar’s HVAC journey took root in 2002 when he began working alongside Rick Austin, learning from one of the best in the business. Over the years, he’s built a reputation for being not only a highly skilled technician but also a sharp, strategic thinker who always puts people first, whether that’s customers, coworkers, or the community.

As General Manager, Omar oversees day-to-day operations, ensures projects run smoothly and on time, manages team performance, and plays a key role in training and mentoring the next generation of HVAC professionals. He’s deeply involved in service planning, logistics, and quality control, and acts as the vital link between the field and the front office.

What truly sets Omar apart is his ability to balance operational efficiency with an exceptional customer experience. His leadership style is hands-on, solutions-focused, and built on decades of experience in the field. He’s a trusted leader, a go-to problem solver, and a huge reason why Austin’s continues to thrive and deliver top-notch service.

Omar’s loyalty, technical expertise, and business savvy have made him an indispensable part of Austin's success and a big part of what makes our team feel like family.

From laying down floor protection to cleaning up every last scrap at the end of the day, these guys treat your home like it’s their own.
